A personalized, day-by-day Japan itinerary built around your dates, pace, budget and interests.
Planning a trip to Japan should feel exciting, not overwhelming. Instead of spending hours comparing routes, destinations, hotels and conflicting advice, let me create a clear and realistic Japan itinerary designed specifically for you. From the destinations you visit to what fits into each day, your trip will be organized around the way you actually want to travel.
Custom itinerary planning only. You remain in control of all bookings.
Japan offers endless possibilities, but turning saved posts and travel ideas into a realistic itinerary can quickly become complicated.
You may be wondering:
Which destinations make sense together?
How many places can you realistically visit in one day?
How long should you spend in Tokyo, Kyoto or Osaka?
Which train, airport or transport pass should you use?
Where should you stay to avoid wasting time?
Which attractions need to be booked in advance?
My Japan itinerary planning service brings all these details together in one clear travel plan.

This is not a generic itinerary or a list of popular attractions copied from the internet.
I create a personalized Japan itinerary based on your travel dates, interests, preferred pace, budget, group and existing bookings.
Whether you’re planning your first trip to Japan, a honeymoon, a family holiday, a solo adventure or a return trip beyond the classic destinations, your itinerary will be built around what matters to you.
You’ll receive a practical day-by-day plan that helps you travel independently while knowing where to go, how to get there and what needs to be organized in advance. Iconic places, lesser-known destinations and practical logistics brought together in one realistic itinerary.
The truth?
Planning a trip to Japan is hard because there’s:
– Too much information
– Conflicting advice
– Unclear transport options
– Itineraries made for "perfect tourists", not real humans
And your situation is unique.
You might be traveling:
– As a couple who wants slow, meaningful days
– With your family and need to balance nap times & sights
– Solo, with a passion for anime, food, or hiking
Most guides weren’t made for your rhythm.

What’s not include in your custom itinerary
I provide an independent travel planning and itinerary design service. It is not a travel agency or tour operator.
I do not book or pay for flights, accommodation, trains, activities, restaurants or other travel services on your behalf.
Flights, hotels, transportation, meals, entrance tickets and guided tours are not included in the planning fee.
I do not provide visa services or complete official travel documents. I can direct you to official sources when relevant.
Full-day theme parks such as Tokyo Disney Resort or Universal Studios Japan are not planned attraction by attraction and do not count as a complete itinerary-planning day.
You receive the research, itinerary, recommendations and tools needed to organize your trip confidently, while remaining responsible for checking availability, completing bookings and confirming current travel requirements.
I’m Marie, the Japan travel planner and creator behind Tabimawari.
I lived in Kyoto, studied Japanese language and culture, and have traveled through different regions of Japan. I now use that experience to help travelers turn their ideas into realistic and well-organized trips.
My goal isn’t to fit as many places as possible into your itinerary. It’s to create a route that makes sense for your dates, energy, budget and interests.
Your itinerary combines:
Firsthand knowledge of Japan
Detailed destination and transport research
Iconic sights and lesser-known places

Clear and independent advice
